Inundation on Jalan Kramat Jaya Raya Starts to Recede

"The current water level is around 50 to 100 centimeters. This situation is exacerbated by high tide, making it take longer for the water to recede," she said, Thursday (1/29).

Dian explained that the flooding began at 8 AM and was still quite high as of 1 PM. His team continued to pump water at maximum capacity. When the water level begins to recede, two floodgates in the PT Krama Yudha area will be opened to expedite the handling process.

Meanwhile, Head of Rawa Terate Urban Village, Jaenudin stated the inundation also occurred at RT 16 RW 04 by 40 cm height due to the overflow of Petukangan River.

He added that 15 PPSU personnel were also deployed to assist the handling.

"If the water in the Cakung Drain River recedes, then the Petukangan River will also recede," he added.
